Media pitch for the Annual Report to Congress

Goal:

To increase coverage of the Congressionally-mandated Annual Report to Congress, ensuring the highest level of visibility.

Solution:

The Annual Report to Congress (ARC) is a report that Congress mandates the National Taxpayer Advocate (NTA) sends to them on a yearly basis. My role was to pitch this report to journalists in specific niche publications. Being a former journalist myself, I know how important time is to them and how few seconds they may devote to a pitch. Because of this, I decided to put the most important parts up top, to entice them to read on and see more about the report itself. This resulted in extra media mentions, increasing visibility of the ARC.
